• Healthcare is our principal specialty with 80% of our work in this area.

• Residential We design for single family and multi-family projects.

• Recreation We design outdoor park and summer camp structures, pavilions and pool complexes and performance facilities.

• Commercial We design high tech flexible office and commercial space.

• Municipal We design a variety of municipal projects where our clients want to leverage our private work experience.

In all of our project types, we have designed to re-use, adapt and add onto historic buildings for the purposes of preservation, making good use of quality structures, and maintaining character that cannot otherwise be achieved.

Our History
Optimus Architecture was founded in 1992 by David A. Souers, AIA, M.Arch, Harvard GSD, after twenty-five years of experience in design, real estate development and construction. Mr. Souers practiced architecture with I.M. Pei & Partners, Cambridge Seven Associates and other recognized firms on landmark projects including Boston's John Hancock Tower, Christian Science Church Center and the John F. Kennedy Library.
