Optimus has designed a 28,000 sf three story medical office building, presently under construction for developer, Unicorn Contracting Corp. Mt. Kisco Medical Group will be the primary tenant, taking more than 20,000 sf.  Kirchhoff Consigli is the general contractor.

This project is located on a sensitive environmental site on the shore of Lake Osceola.  Unicorn worked with the Town and NYS DEC over an extended period to establish the project site and building design.  The building was raised above the flood plane, and built into a steep hillside.  The footprint covered a deep peat bed, requiring significant peat removal, structural fill, stone piers, and an uphill foundation retaining wall. The site design included a property donation to the Town of Yorktown for a passive waterside park.

The exterior building design was developed with the Yorktown Planning Board to achieve a traditional clapboard and pitched roof character, consistent with the historic and traditional buildings found in Yorktown and neighboring smaller villages and residential areas of Westchester, NY.
