Optimus has designed several Oncology Centers for both radiation and infusion. Optimus designed this three story 36,500 sf medical office building for Benedictine Hospital and developer First Columbia, with a 12,700 sf Cancer Center, on the ground floor. This Center has two linear accelerator vaults and an HDR / simulator vault. A CT Scanner is also provided for treatment planning. This facility serves both out-patient and in-patient treatment. This project is attached to the hospital with interior and exterior access, providing both independent identification and entrance, as well as convenient access back and forth to the hospital for patients and staff.
In 2011, Optimus designed within the former ED, an Out-patient Infusion Center to support the hospital’s oncology program.
